Hydrolab Marine Monohulls and Semi Foiling Aluminum Catamarans

Hydrolab Marine is the brainchild of Nick Leigh, and industrial designer from Raglan. With decades of experience designing foils and hull shapes to 'make things go faster and more efficiently', Nick decided the NZ boating community needed a good looking, roomy, stable, soft riding and efficient hull, and that's what he's set about creating. Scott from Freedom Outdoors is the owner of the first 5m semi-foiling centre console cat produced. We added a hard Bimini, live bait tank and a few extras to make it the ultimate fishing and diving machine, and we love it. We've been with Nick since the beginning and are happy to add our 2 cents into design ideas to make the boats as user friendly to the NZ fishing and diving community as possible. ENJOY!

Prototype 5m Cat - Modified

FOIL 550 - Hydrolab has just created the ultimate 'Big Small' boat:  Here's something new, fresh of the factory floor in Raglan It's the Foil 550, Hydrolab semi foiling cat with hard dodger. It has a flat floor, wide gunwales and boasts maximum fishing space, handling and stability. The Hydrofoil provides lift and a smooth ride. It's V shaped so you bank into your turns. This give's 25-30% better fuel economy and 25-30% more speed. There is nothing similar to this in the NZ market at present. Packages with aluminum Futura Trailer and 100hp 4 stroke Suzuki staring at 65k. See our products page for construction pictures. Also available as a centre console.
